The inside scoop

An ice cream shop in a converted van. Is there a cooler place than VeeDoubleMoo. We catch up with business owner Bridget who gives us the inside scoop on this Bristol institution, and what visitors can expect on Grand Prix day.

College Green … to Bristolians it just is, College Green. Always been there, meeting place, landmark for no particular reason, protest venue, Bristol Cathedral’s front garden, place to catch your bus.

Personally, I have taken College Green for granted in the past — but since being lucky enough to get an ice cream pitch there back in April 2016, the hubbub of College Green life has really made an impression. It’s a real pleasure to see so many overseas visitors enjoying everything that Bristol has to offer – I had no idea that Bristol was quite such a tourist hub.

We have an eclectic mix of regulars dropping by for ice cream at the weekends, and Vee Double Moo is a happy provider of lost property and weather forecasting services … and a place to hang out and meeting point.

This year we’re going to be located at the Start/Finish line of the Grand Prix, serving irresistible ice cream, and delicious coffees and refreshments to the thousands of visitors and riders.

It’s not uncommon for our customers to say Vee Double Moo’s ice cream is the best soft serve ice cream they’ve ever had — pop by and give it a try if you haven’t already — we’d love to see you.

Prices start at £1.50 and we will be open all day.
